Over the past two or three years, we have had significant opportunities for ministry as we traveled to Cuba and recorded a new CD. Both of these projects were ones that we believe will make long term and meaningful contributions to God’s kingdom and are exactly the type projects we are called to undertake. These type projects are why many of us signed on as CenturyMen. In both cases the cost associated with these projects rested with the membership. There were no Love Offerings or CD sales to help with the expenses. What was not able to be paid for through tour payments by the membership was made up through the monies currently on hand in our operating account and investments. The cost of the new CD alone will most likely be between $40,000 and $50,000.
Therefore, knowing that in 2016-2019 we have drawn down our financial reserves, the Board members, looking toward the future and new ministries that may come our way, are challenging the CenturyMen membership (Active, Life and Emeritus members) to raise $50,000 to offset the expense of the past few years. This campaign will be called “50 for the 50th.” Our first goal is 100% participation from the Active and Life members at any level of giving ($5.00 to $5,000) with a 10-month campaign running through the end of 2019. Individuals can commit a 1-time lump sum or a monthly gift. We would like to announce at the 50th banquet this summer how much we have raised in gifts and pledges. Our plans are to launch this campaign in early March.
Below you will find different ways to contribute. You can submit your gift both online and through the mail.
